Gird Your Loins!

Men don’t have things smooth & perfect, & should never expect things to be smooth & perfect (same for women of course, but in this post, I’m talking man to man.) There are always going to be problems to solve, and challenges to address head-on. So don’t ever wake up in the morning expecting smoothness, shed that false narrative. Rather, GIRD YOUR LOINS at the beginning of each day (like the Bible says), and be ready to fight the good fight. Even when you don’t feel like it. Because life will be one battle after another… small ones, big ones, and everything in between. And without exception, God is very much with you in every tribulation and every battle. Amen to that. 💪🙏

Don’t Do It!!

Don’t create problems in your head that haven’t happened yet. Don’t start battling problems in your head that haven’t taken place in real life yet. Tough times & challenges will come, now & again, that’s for sure. But I bet I’ve conjured-up & wrestled with literally THOUSANDS of possible problems in my mind…that ended up never happening. Please don’t do that. It’s EXHAUSTING…as many of you know. ✌️❤️🙏

Great Conversation

One of the coolest & most rewarding conversations you’ll ever have is when someone asks you something about God stuff, & you sincerely reply, “What do you think?” Then, you listen intently, & soak in whatever their thoughts are.

You’ll almost always find you have some common ground, & that common ground is a great place from which to continue an honest & respectful discussion. Plus, keep in mind, you’re not there to just talk them into everything you believe. You’re there to listen to one another’s perspectives, & quite probably gain some fascinating insights both ways.

This Life & World??

What is this world & life?? According to the full narrative of the Bible??

This is my short summary, after years of studying & contemplating & teaching & preaching:

(1) A world God made for us, His children, to truly enjoy.

(2) A world God made for us, in which we’d also be deeply fulfilled by glorifying God every day of life…simply by being great to others & great to the planet.

(3) Then…it became a world in which we got enslaved to sin & darkness, which is us concentrating WAY more on self, & WAY less on glorifying God by being great to others & great to the planet.

(4) Then, God sent all kinds of people (prophets), generation after generation, to call us out, & to point us to our original roots…which is a life in which we greatly enjoy the blessings of God, & at the same time glorify God & find deep fulfillment in life by being great to others & great to the planet.

(5) Then…when we never really listened to any of the prophets God sent, God finally came here in the flesh Himself, in the divine form of His Son, to pay for our participation in sin & darkness, & to empower us back to our glorious/original way of living to the glory of God, & to show us clearly that a new chapter is coming where we’ll all get back to our original purpose of enjoying the blessings of God, & being great to others & great to the planet (the creation made new & glorious!)

This IS the narrative of Ancient Christianity. I wish someone would’ve laid it out for me this plainly years ago.
